5Great DVD  May 01, 2004
I usually am not a country fan, but Trace has definitely changed that! These videos range from deeply heart-touching to funny, and as a lot of other fans have written, you can see that he is very real--something I find totally refreshing. "Then They Do" brought tears to my eyes because, as a mom of 6, I know exactly what Trace is talking about. My husband brought Trace to my attention with "Hot Mama"--he originally taped it for me (we wondered if Trace knew us because so much of what was portrayed was familiar to us--especially the dining room scene :)). I think he should have gotten the "Flame Award" for that video because not only was it better than Toby Keith, it was a big kiss sent to all moms and wives out there! (Right back at you, Trace!) "I'm Tryin'" was very haunting and real. "Chrome" was cute. "This Ain't No Thinkin' Thing" was sexy and the type of song that can get stuck in your head all day........."Every Light In The House" was touching and sweet (and I was glad to see a happy ending!). Altogether a really neat video that leaves you smiling--well worth the price. When's the next one, Trace? :)

3Trace Adkins - video hits DVD  Aug 08, 2004 By R. A Cruse "Richard Cruse"
I hate it when a singer makes a greatest video hits collection and they don't put all there videos. The following two videos should have been on this dvd: Lonely Won't Leave Me Alone and

Help Me Understand. Since they put "Hot Mama" on there, they should have also put "Rough And Ready" as well. So, I gave this dvd three stars.

5Trace Adkins Video Hits DVD  Apr 06, 2004
When I finally was able to get a DVD player, this DVD was my first purchase. What a great package! (And I can replay it anytime!) I love, love, love it!! It has great video-stories to go with six GREAT hit songs. Trace has a fantastic, and sexy baritone voice. Each video is a winner and shows why it will remain a hit with me. From the growling Hot Mama and Chrome to the plaintive Then They Do and I'm Tryin', each one tugs at my heartstrings. Trace remains Number One in my book. Thanks y'all! Keep them comin'!

3MORE!!!!  Feb 09, 2004 By Eric Vaughnes "THE Rock & Roll Elitist"
Well, all previous reviewers have gushed with excitement about this new video compilation, but no one has yet taken the time to actually REVIEW the disc itself.

Let me preface this by saying I can understand their anticipation. Trace Adkins is a big talent: a deeper-than-the-sea baritone and an incredible screen presence. The powers that be at Capitol Records, however, have quickly thrown together this video compilation only because Trace is riding high at the moment with his current single, the hokey sing-a-long "Hot Mama" (easily the weakest track on his otherwise stellar new set "Comin' On Strong"). You might even say that a Trace Adkins DVD exists only to house that song, as we've waited years for this DVD.

As far as quality, the video transfer is sharp and the colors are deep. What keeps this "sampler" from receiving a solid 5-star review from me is the glaring omission of many of his other videos (as I mentioned before, this feels like a "rush job"). There were promotional videos shot for "There's A Girl In Texas", "Don't Lie", "Big Time", "Lonely Won't Leave Me Alone", "Help Me Understand", "More", "Hold You Now", "Out Of My Dreams", "Can I Want Your Love" and "I Left Something Turned On At Home". Moreover, the videos for his second and third studio albums ("Big Time" and "More") have been neglected completely. We may not ever see those on DVD unless Trace pulls another novelty number like "Hot Mama" out of his Stetson. Only then can we look forward to a "Video Hits Volume Two".

At this point in his career, I'm simply happy to have Trace represented on DVD, though I still feel shortchanged. If you are a new Trace Adkins fan, this disc is definitely for you.

4Satisfied, but left wanting more...  Feb 17, 2004
I'm from a small town, and didn't have CMT back when some of the older videos on this DVD were released, so it was great to finally be able to see Trace Adkins pre 'Hot Mama' and 'Chrome'. I love the fact that I can watch the videos anytime I want, and I truely do like all the videos that are included, but I'm with one of the other reviewers in that I'd have liked to have seen some of his other albums represented. That said, I know that I (along with many other fans), will surely be waiting for the Video Hits II collection.
