3Poor sound quality  Jan 07, 2008 By Billy Zoom
This CD sounds like it was mastered from old vinyl records rather than the original tapes.
These are the original recordings, but the sound quality is poor.

5A classic  Dec 21, 2008 By Ellie Alice "Ellie"
This is truly an American classic to which all should be exposed religiously from the age 3 months on til' death. Nothing like it, of course, is being produced today, and I thank God and his bright little humans for the sound technology that has allowed us to preserve it, forever, just as we'll never lose Bach and Mozart, and ancient music, and old children's songs, original Indian muic traditions, Chinese, etc, etc, etc, etc. And thank you dear Burl Ives!

4Burl Ives  Aug 15, 2011 By George J. Biehl "GEOMILO"
I use to listen to Burl Ives on the radio when I was very young and always loved his sweet interpretation of many of the songs on this album. This is a keeper.

1Terrible Recording Quality  Jul 27, 2011 By Patrick E. Oneil "Patrick E. O'Neil"
Burl Ives is wonderful, of course, and I bought 4 of his disks at once. Good thing, since the songs on this disk are duplicated on the other three and all the songs on this disk have hissing sounds, as if they'd been recorded off an old LP using a bad needle.
