Chris Cagle's new release, "My Life's Been a Country Song" is his best album yet.
It's one of those albums you just put in or find on your iPod that makes you feel good--- it's a feel good record.
He's never been a traditionalist, more of a rockin', pop-influenced country artist, and this album is no exception. This is Chris Cagle's style, and he's true to it. He's settled into his own as an artist and isn't trying to be anyone he's not.
He didn't write or co-write any of the songs, which is always a bit of a disappointment, but he leaves that to professionals. This sometimes is a blessing and a curse. Sometimes the songs flow together, sometimes they seem forced and overwritten. In those rare cases, the rockin' arrangements and vocals make up for it.
My favorite song on this album is the title track, "My Life's Been a Country Song". It's well on its way to being one of my all-time favorites. "Little Sundress" is great too (although very Kenny Chesney-like... not a bad thing).
Go out and buy this album. It's a great time.

I have always loved Chris Cagle's music and this new album is no exception! There is great mixture of high-energy songs that are even better when seen live and slower songs that are full of the geniune emotion that he always conveys. All in all a great well-rounded album! Go see him in concert and you will love the songs even more!

Wow! My family loves Chris Cagle; we own all of his CD's and have seen him live multiple times. His music is easy to relate to it and fun to listen to. He did not let us down with his new album, "My Life's Been a Country Song". It has something for everyone with a great country sound in songs like "My Life's Been a Country Song" and a chance to rock out a bit with songs like "It's Good To Be Back." I bought this CD the day it came out and went down and bought a second one for my husband's truck so he'd leave mine alone. I would recommend this CD to anyone.

I have to say this is one of his BEST CDs ever. Chris puts so much emotion into every song. You can't go wrong with buying this CD. If you have his other 3, you NEED to add this to your collection. With is current single "What Kina Gone" climbing the charts this CD will no doubt put Chris right up on top where he belongs.

Chris Cagle has done it once again... This cd is a 10 along with all his other cds. If you are a Caglehead you definately WONT be disappointed if you get this cd! His music speaks volumes, you know how sometimes when you listen to a song you can relate because you are going through something, or someone you know is going through something or has gone through something that you think no one else understands, or that you cant put into your own words but then you hear a song on the radio and your like OMG that says it all! Well thats how Chris's music is, its real, its life and many can relate! I love his voice and all his music, I recommend this cd an all his cds. If your not a Cagle fan already you will be after this cd!!!
