My Mom is a huge Kenny Rogers fan and I bought this for her. She loves it and I must admit that I enjoyed it alot. A great gift for any Kenny Rogers fan.

Kenny Rogers sings all his great hits, the video is recorded very good and the sound is fantastic. I would have given this a 5 plus, but because during each song, he ask the audience for a request for each song. I guess thats why it is named "REQUEST LIVE" take away the time consuming request and the interviews after each song, you have a excellent DVD for years to come. Excellent, no but a very warm and very good performance.

kenny Rogers performed this concert in a warm environment between his fans and his music lovers. He is great, romantic, and very carismatic. The only drawback is that every request is considered as a unique track. I think it will be better to make it with only song tracks. On conclusion this is the only available DVD for this great singer. Sound format is 5.1 which make the DVD more valuable.

I buy mostly blu ray concerts so most older 1.33:1 SD recordings inevitably seem very inferior. I was pleasantly surprised however at the quality of this DVD. I played it on a PS3 unit in a very powerful high end home theater that tend to emphasize video flaws, but this recording sparkled even on a large front projection screen with crisp colors and beautiful natural flesh tones. Even better than the video is the audio... the DTS 5.1 tracks present a clean powerful enveloping soundstage that does not suffer from the muddiness or distracting poor mixing typical of these older live recordings. The tracks are brilliantly mixed with a pleasant studio refinement without sacrificing the hall effects of the venue. This is my preferred genre for home entertainment; i own about a hundred concert videos, and i can unequivocally state that this is my favorite SD 1.33:1 live concert.
