THE ISAACS - LIVE FROM NORWAY - DVD - OUTSTANDING CONTEMPORARY GOSPEL BLUEGRASS!!! Jan 16, 2009

SO, HERE WE GO, "SHOUT IT, SHOUT IT OUT LOUD": THIS IS AN EXCELLENT COMTEMPORARY GOSPEL BLUEGRASS CONCERT!!! I WOULD GIVE IT 10 STARS IF I COULD. IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THIS GROUP, AND YOU LIKE GOSPEL BLUEGRASS - YOU MUST SEE THIS CONCERT DVD AND THIER OTHER ONE. THIS FAMILY & THEIR BAND ARE SIMPLE "AWESOME". THIS PARTICULAR CONCERT DVD IS A "MUST-HAVE" FOR ANY GOSPEL BLUEGRASS FAN!!!
YOU GET 4 BASIC MUSICIANS IN THE FAMILY, THE MOTHER (LILY ON VOCALS), TWO SISTERS(SONYA ON VOCALS AND MANDOLIN & REBECCA ON GUITAR AND VOCALS), AND A BROTHER (BEN ON BASS). PLUS, YOU GET A HOST OF OTHER BACKUP MUSICIANS INCLUDING A VIOLIN PLAYER, A BANJO PLAYER, AND OTHERS THESE PEOPLE CAN DEFINITELY PLAY GOSPEL BLUEGRASS. REBECCA'S HUSBAND WAS IN THE BAND IN THEIR LAST DVD "THE ISSAC'S BEST OF THE HOMECOMING SERIES", BUT NOW HE IS IN THE AUIDIENCE IN THIS DVD (THEY SAY HE QUIT THE BAND TO BECOME A SCHOOL TEACHER).

(DON'T TURN TO THE RIGHT OR TURN TO THE LEFT, JUST WALK ON!!!) (THIS ONE HAS BEEN ON THE COMTEMPORARY SOUTHERN GOSPEL CHARTS FOR WEEKS, IT'S A GREAT HIT!!!)

MY HUSBAND AND I ARE SOUTHERN GOSPEL FANS AND HAVE MET AND SEEN THE ISAACCS AT 3 CONCERTS. THIS IS EVEN BETTER THAN BEFORE,WE WERE ABLE TO BE AT THE MARK LOWRY TAPING IN LA AND THAT WAS GOOD BUT SOME OF THESE PEOPLE HAVE EVEN MORE OF ANNOINTING SINCE THEN, THIS IS A KEEPER.

There music and singing is great. First heard of them on the Bill Gaither gospel show on TV. So have seen them sing for quite a while and finally bought there dvd. there great.

I thought this was a CD, guess I didn't read the description properly. Great music, great sound and some interesting family history and picturesque shots. I don't have much time to watch DVD's like this but its worth the time and effort. Something to do on a lazy Sunday afternoon with family around.
