10-Song Essential Oct 07, 2004
By Jason T. Porter
"Big Jake"
With "50 Number Ones" out for sale, it's hard to argue a better economical and jam-packed value, but there's no disputing the best 10-song collection belongs to Greatest Hits Vol. 2. George remains the most consistent country artist within the last 40 yrs (I would argue the most consistent in COUNTRY MUSIC HISTORY), and the proof lies in GH Vol 2. For those who remember cassettes (much less 8-tracks, a couple of George's I own), nothing quenched the thirst of country traditionalists in the 1980's like this album. My father and I took many a road trip from Texas to Montana (a one-way 3-day trip) to the tune of GH Vol 2. Absolutely, positively, the soundtrack of my life.

You Can't Go Wrong With A Collection of Strait Hits Dec 22, 1999
By J. R. Reynolds You take no risk buying a collection of George Strait hits. Even if you don't love every song (I personally am tired of All My Ex's and Ocean Front Property) there's always enough great music to make you glad you put it in the player. The Chair,Nobody in His Right Mind, and it Aint Cool to Be Crazy About You are simply superb ballads.

Strait's best records are documented here Apr 01, 2008

"The Record Collector"
George Strait has more number ones than any other country music artist. He's also got another one now with 'I Saw God Today' and had one in early 2007 with 'How 'Bout Them Cowgirls.' His number one hits status means he has a lot of compilations on the market.
Although I really enjoy his installment in UMG's '20th Century Masters,' it can't match this set. This features my 10 favorite Strait songs, including 'The Fireman,' 'The Chair,' 'Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind' and of course the country music anthem 'All My Ex's Live In Texas.'
Overall, if you are a casual fan or a new George Strait fan, you'll get your money's worth with this classic. Highly recommended. ENJOY!!!

ALL MY EX's ACTUALLY DO LIVE IN TEXAS... Dec 21, 2007
By MARCOLA This album is one of the greatest from George Strait, It has alot of his older hits. "IT AIN'T COOL TO BE CRAZY ABOUT YOU" A good song but it has to many memories attached to it. Personally to me the whole album is good, but it's more of a tear in your beer album. People can say what they want about the newer country music, but people like George, Hank JR, and Willie Nelson are who made country music what is today. I rate this CD a 5 of 5 stars!!
