"A Hundred Miles or More: A Collection" is comprised of 16 tracks, highlighting Alison Krauss's career outside of her traditional releases with longtime band Union Station. The album features Krauss's collaboration with John Waite on the single "Missing You," as well as Krauss's contributions to film soundtracks, including the Oscar-nominated songs "The Scarlet Tide" and "You Will Be My Ain True Love," written for the motion picture "Cold Mountain," and "Down to the River to Pray" from the film "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" Known for her collaborations, Krauss also includes several duets in the collection such as the 2003 hit with Brad Paisley, "Whiskey Lullaby," and her duet with James Taylor for the tribute album "Livin', Lovin', Losin': Songs of the Louvin Brothers," "How's the World Treating You." The collection debuts five new songs: "You're Just a Country Boy," "Jacob's Dream," "Simple Love," "Lay Down Beside Me," and "Away Down the River," all of which feature Krauss as a producer.

4Alison Krauss - Best Compilation of Artists  Feb 07, 2010
This is one of Alison Krauss's best cd. She has a variety of different artists joining her. This is an excellent compilation of her talent as an artist.

5lots of creativity!  Feb 02, 2010
Alison's signature voice and rich harmony is all over this album. It's an "easy" paced album for sure. The duets are wonderful, but then quality voices such as Alison's and Emmy Lou Harris' voices always pair beautifully with others as well as solo. It leaves you wanting more. It's a sound purchase for anyone's library.

5My favorite CD  Jan 22, 2010
This is the best cd in my collection. Allison's voice is so pure and gentle. The songs on this cd are amazing. Her duets are awesome. It is the best purchase yet.

5Beautiful songs  Jan 06, 2010
Except for the final song on this CD, the songs on this CD are gorgeous and show the versatility of Allison Krauss's voice and musicality. Without repeating comments from others, the song "Get Me Through December" is one of the most beautiful, moving songs I've ever heard, performed exquisitely by Ms. Krauss, Natalie McMaster and the other musicians on the track. It is worth the price of this recording.

5A Hundred Miles or More  Dec 23, 2009
Alison's CD "A Hundred Miles or More" is excellent! Every song has merit. Her voice is one of the most enchanting soprano voices I have ever heard. Alison sings to one's heart & soul. My favorite songs are: Jacob's Dream; Down to the River to Pray; The Scarlet Tide; Whiskey Lullaby; & Get Me Through December. This is a must buy CD for any Alison Krauss fans.
